What is ptfe tube ?

PTFE tube India can be delivered in various diameters and lengths. Standard extruded lengths of 1000, 2000 and 3000 mm up to diameter 120mm can be supplied. Larger diameters up to approx. 3000 mm will be molded. Maximum length depends on the diameter and ranges from 100 mm to 300 mm. By means of Isostatic pressing it is possible to reach the closest diameter near the final required dimension. Due to the flexibility of the press molds shaping the product close to the end product is possible. This can result in significant material saving.

PTFE tubing applications include fasteners, Chillers & Cooling system, Pulp & Paper Industry, Automobile, LNG, Desalination, Defense, Aerospace, Cross Country Pipe Line for Gas & Water, Atomic Energy, Thermal, Nuclear and Solar Power Plants. PTFE large diameter tube is very useful in some of the above mentioned applications.

PTFE tubes includes Spaghetti tubing with a wall thickness of within 1.5mm and an outer diameter of less than 15mm, this tubing is used extensively in both medical and automotive applications.PTFE hoses are heavy-wall thickness tubes and are used primarily in applications that need high-burst pressures or heavy insulation. PTFE sleeves can be either extruded or compression-molded. Wall thickness is usually between 2-6mm, whereas diameter could go up to as much as 300mm. Sleeves are used in a variety of applications that need insulation, lubrication, corrosion resistance, or load bearing.

If your temperature requirements range up to 500º F (260º C), PTFE Tubing is the recommended choice. Because of excellent dielectric properties of tube de PTFE, it is widely used in electronics and electrical service. It can be steam sterilized without affecting its physical properties, like surface hardness, elongation, flex life or deformation under load. It is normally translucent white in color, however, the degree of whiteness varies from lot to lot, and with dimensional wall thickness.
