What is ptfe ansi flange?

The two-piece interleaving design of PTFE ANSI FLANGES allows rings to be installed after the stub ends or angle rings have been fused, welded, or glued to simplify installation. Flanges save your money by, expediting repairs to reduce labor costs, and by minimizing down time to maximize productivity. PTFE Flange Gasket rings are used in place of standard one piece rings on all types of piping including carbon steel, ductile iron, stainless steel, polyethylene, fiberglass, and even PVC and CPVC. The backing rings fit behind molded fiberglass flanges and molded PVC and CPVC flanges. These backing rings facilitate higher bolt torques than customarily allowed on molded fiberglass and plastic rings.   

PTFE flange hose eliminate the cracking which commonly occurs on those types of molded flanges. If a customer needs split flange or two-piece backing ring for a particular line in your system, you can order it from PTFE ANSI flange manufacturers. ,

There are two solutions to strengthen and eliminate cracking molded PFA Flange AdaptersLightweight rings designed to back-up and strengthen fiberglass reinforced pipe flanges.  PTFE lined reducing flanges fit behind molded fiberglass reinforced pipe flanges, effectively dispersing bolt stresses, to facilitate greater allowable bolt torques, and eliminate cracked FRP flanges. Spacer Plates in PTFE flange tape section are engineered to fit between fiberglass flanges and raised face flanges to preclude bending of the fiberglass flanges.  Spacer plates are available in a variety of materials including coated carbon steel, polypropylene, and stainless steel.

PTFE flanges are made from the fluoropolymerpolytetrafluoroethylene and are known for being exceptionally corrosion resistant and inert at elevated temperatures. PTFE flanges are inert to most chemical environments including organics, acids, bases, mixed chemicals and hydrofluoric acid. Compared to other high performance PTFE flange spacer like PEEK or PVDF, PTFE flanges offer the best all-around corrosion resistance especially at elevated temperatures. However the trade-off for its extraordinary corrosion resistance is the lower tensile strength compared to PVDF or PEEK flanges.
